The pump will not prime - possible causes and cures. 1 There is no water in the pump strainer basket chamber - fill the chamber with water. 2 There is an airlock in system - clear the airlock. 3 The pump lid is not tight - remove lid and re-tighten. 4 The pump lid O-ring is damaged - replace the O-ring. 5 The water level is below the skimmer, allowing air to be drawn into the pump - close the skimmer and open the bottom drain valve.
6 The valves are incorrectly positioned - set valves to ‘Normal Running’. 7 There is an air leak on the suction side of the pump - tighten all joints on the suction side of the pump.
Low water flow - High filter pressure - possible causes and cures. 1 The filter is clogged with trapped particles - backwash and rinse the filter. 2 The return line (Jets) valve is not fully open - open the valve. 3 The pressure gauge is defective - replace gauge.
Low water flow - Low filter pressure - possible causes and cures. 1 There is an air leak in the suction line - tighten all joints on the suction side of the pump. 2 The strainer basket is full - clean the basket. 3 The pump impeller is clogged - remove the pump and clean the impeller. 4 Incorrectly positioned valves - set valves to ‘Normal Running’. 5 There is a restriction in the suction line - locate and remove the restriction. 6 Defective pressure gauge - replace the gauge.
